Privacy Policy

Align is a mirror for your inner life. Everything it knows, it knows so it can reflect you back to yourself — never to advertise to you, and never to sell.

What we collect

• Account. Your email address (via Google sign-in or a username), used to identify your account.
• Your conversations. When you talk with Align, the call audio is processed in real time by our voice-infrastructure partners to produce a transcript. Transcripts are stored in your account; they are the raw material of your mirror. Audio may be retained temporarily by those processing partners to provide the service.
• What Align distils. From your transcripts, Align derives the reflections the app shows you — daily summaries, themes, goals you voiced, patterns in your own words. These stay in your account.
• Optional integrations. If you connect them, Align reads your step count (Apple Health) and calendar events to mirror where your energy and attention went. Align never writes to these sources, and you can disconnect them at any time.
• Device basics. A push token so your phone can ring, your time zone so calls arrive at the right local time, and your language preference.

What we never do

• No advertising, and no data ever sold to anyone.
• No profiles built for any purpose other than showing you yourself.
• No reading of your data by people, except as required to operate the service or by law.

Who processes your data

Align runs on a small set of infrastructure providers, each processing data only to provide the service: Supabase (database, encrypted at rest), Vapi and its speech providers (live call processing), Anthropic (language-model processing of transcripts), Google (sign-in and push delivery), and Expo (app updates). We share only what each needs to do its job.

Retention and deletion

Your data stays in your account for as long as you keep the account. To delete your account and everything in it, email suyeonc.cha@gmail.com from your account email — deletion is completed within 30 days.

Children

Align is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will tell you before the change applies to you.
